Salesforce Platform Lead for Global Industrial Company

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global industrial organization seeking a Salesforce Platform Lead to own and elevate their Salesforce ecosystem. This is a platform ownership role focused on improving release health, security standards, engineering excellence, reusable patterns, and AI-assisted delivery workflows.

This is a remote, full-time contract engagement of 12+ months with opportunities for extension. You'll work closely with engineering, QA, and product stakeholders to drive a healthy release cadence while maintaining platform governance and incident response leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the production Salesforce environment including releases, security posture, sandbox strategy, backup, and recovery operations
• Define and enforce Salesforce coding and configuration standards through direct participation in pull request reviews
• Build reusable reference patterns for Salesforce Flow, Lightning Web Components, and integrations that development teams can adopt
• Lead P1 incident response activities including triage, remediation planning, and pairing with engineers on production fixes
• Drive a release cadence of two weeks or less in collaboration with QA and product teams
• Allocate and manage ongoing technical debt capacity, targeting approximately 10–30% of engineering capacity
• Own the AI-assisted development toolchain including coding copilots, test generation, org discovery agents, and automated pull request pre-review
• Measure developer effective capacity when using AI-assisted workflows and identify friction points in manual delivery processes
• Automate operational runbooks and release-note generation while maintaining human oversight for production-risk decisions

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• 6–10 years of Salesforce administration and development experience with platform ownership responsibilities
• Expert-level Salesforce Flow experience
• Solid hands-on experience with Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud and Service Cloud
• Strong Salesforce release management experience
• Experience with CI/CD for Salesforce environments
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, sharing, permissions, and platform governance
• Experience defining and enforcing coding and configuration standards through hands-on pull request reviews
• Experience managing production Salesforce environments including releases, sandbox strategy, backup, and recovery
• Experience designing reusable Flow, LWC, and integration patterns for development teams
• Experience leading or supporting P1 production incident response
• Hands-on experience using AI coding copilots and agents in Salesforce development workflows
• Experience with Salesforce metadata automation, test generation, org discovery, and AI-assisted pull request review
• Ability to validate AI-generated code and automation before production deployment

Preferred Qualifications:

• French and English bilingual proficiency (particularly valued for Montreal hub collaboration)
• Salesforce Administrator certification
• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
• Salesforce Platform Developer certification
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Location and Schedule:

• Remote position open to candidates based in the USA or Canada
• Must maintain at least 6 hours of overlap with East Coast (US) time zone
• Full-time commitment for a 12+ month engagement
