About This Opportunity

Our client is a confidential AI organization developing cutting-edge computer vision models. We are representing them in recruiting skilled individuals worldwide to contribute to an innovative data collection project. This flexible, remote opportunity allows you to earn hourly compensation by recording first-person video footage of tasks you've already mastered.

As a Video Recorder, you'll capture yourself performing hands-on activities from a first-person perspective using a smartphone mounted on your head or chest. These videos, paired with narration, help train AI models to understand the connection between visual actions and verbal descriptions. This is project-based work with flexible hours—you control your schedule and submission volume.

Responsibilities

• Select and demonstrate a hands-on activity from your area of expertise, recording the complete process from start to finish
• Film from a first-person perspective ensuring hands and tasks remain clearly visible and in focus throughout
• Provide live narration if fluent in English (minimum 25 words per minute describing the setting or task steps), or capture ambient audio for post-production narration
• Deliver videos in MP4 format with accompanying JSON metadata files
• Ensure 90%+ of speech describes the activity or environment, maintaining consistent narration density
• Follow prepare-execute-finish filming scripts and adhere to strict privacy guidelines (no personal data, third-party faces, or identifiable information visible)
• Work in real settings without other people in frame

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Demonstrated mastery in at least one specialized activity from these categories: home tasks (cleaning, laundry, organizing, pet care, appliance loading), repairs and DIY (home repair, gardening, furniture assembly, woodworking, plumbing, electrical work, bicycle maintenance, soldering), textile and craft arts (sewing, knitting, crocheting, weaving, leathercraft, bookbinding, jewelry-making, ceramics), professional trades (automotive repair, warehousing, construction, laboratory work, machinery operation, assembly-line work), hobbies and arts (drawing, painting, ceramics, musical instruments, model building, camping skills, calligraphy), technology (computer/device operation, audio mixing, product demonstrations, VR/AR, 3D printing), outdoor activities (city navigation, shopping, public transit), personal care (haircutting, makeup application, detailed grooming), or specialized professional skills (medical procedures, first aid, barista techniques, culinary knife work, laboratory protocols)
• Capability to record stable, clear first-person videos using a smartphone
• Ability to work independently in authentic settings
• Competence following structured filming protocols
• Commitment to privacy standards: no third-party faces, screens with personal data, license plates, addresses, or mirror reflections
• Use of 100% human narration (no text-to-speech or synthetic voices)

Preferred:

• Previous experience recording tutorials, classes, or instructional content
• Access to varied authentic settings for diverse recording environments
• Ownership of head or chest mount equipment, image stabilization tools, or quality microphones

Pay

Compensation is hourly and determined by the total number of hours represented in approved videos. Specific rates will be discussed during the screening process with our recruiting team.
