Junior Data Engineer (Databricks) (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization in Stuttgart that is building the next generation of data platforms. Our talent team is seeking a Junior Data Engineer with Databricks experience to join their growing data practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to work on modern data architectures while collaborating with experienced engineers across Europe.

As a junior member of the data engineering team, you'll contribute to building and optimizing data platforms based on lakehouse and medallion architectures. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies while receiving mentoring and professional development support.

Responsibilities

• Support development and enhancement of modern data platforms and architectures
• Build and optimize data pipelines for data processing and integration
• Work with technologies including Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, and Python
• Assist with integration of platform components and features
• Contribute to data governance, security, and compliance implementations
• Support creation of customer demos and technical proof of concepts
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues and cross-functional teams in agile projects
• Participate in CI/CD processes, automation, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives using tools like Terraform
• Engage with clients and internal stakeholders on technical requirements

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or comparable field
• Initial practical experience in data engineering through internships, student positions, thesis work, or early professional roles
• Foundational knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language such as Python
• Exposure to Databricks, Apache Spark, or comparable data engineering technologies (advantageous)
• Ideally, initial familiarity with a cloud platform such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Interest in data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and modern data architectures
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and continuous professional development
• Enjoyment of teamwork and direct client collaboration
• Business-fluent German (C1 level) and English skills
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €55,000 to €65,000 per year, with final placement dependent on experience and skillset.
