About the Role

This is a part-time caring position in Rushden, where you'll work shifts that fit your schedule—whether that's early mornings helping clients start their day, tea time support in the afternoon, or evening assistance preparing for bed. As a carer with Home Instead, you'll deliver dignified, person-centred care directly in clients' homes, building genuine relationships and supporting their independence and quality of life.

What You'll Do

• Provide personal care support including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with meal preparation and help clients with eating and drinking
• Support household activities and light domestic help where appropriate
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
• Help with medication reminders and liaison with healthcare professionals
• Maintain detailed records and communicate updates to the care team
• Work reliably and punctually across assigned early morning, tea time, and evening shifts

What We're Looking For

• Genuine compassion and respect for older people and their wellbeing
• Reliability and punctuality in a flexible, shift-based role
• Clear communication skills and ability to build trust with clients
• Physical fitness for assisting clients with mobility and daily activities
• Willingness to maintain strict confidentiality and dignity
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Excellent references from previous care or relevant experience
• No formal qualifications required, though NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care is valued
