About This Position
The Director, Education position centers on building educational frameworks that translate decades of beauty innovation into meaningful learning experiences. You'll oversee all aspects of education strategy for the YSL Beauty brand within L'ORÉAL's Luxe division, reporting to the Associate Vice President of Education. This leadership role enables you to shape how professionals and consumers understand and connect with luxury beauty across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive education strategy aligned with YSL Beauty's brand positioning and business objectives
- Create curriculum and training content for beauty professionals, retail teams, and customer audiences
- Build and lead the education team, establishing best practices and fostering professional development
- Oversee educational platforms and materials to ensure brand consistency and effective knowledge transfer
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and brand teams to integrate education into customer and professional touchpoints
- Track program outcomes, gather feedback, and refine initiatives for measurable impact
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in education, training, business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 7 or more years of progressive experience leading education, training, or curriculum development programs with team management responsibilities
- Strong expertise in beauty products, cosmetics, professional practices, or luxury goods education
- Exceptional ability to create engaging learning experiences and communicate complex information clearly
- Strategic mindset with proven success connecting education initiatives to business results
- Commitment to inclusive, equitable learning environments and diverse audience engagement
