ReqRoute,Inc is hiring a Quality Engineer for a full-time, 12-month position in Bloomfield, Hartford County. You'll drive quality assurance and testing efforts for healthcare technology initiatives, with specialized focus on validating integration layers and API standards.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on quality engineering role where you'll take ownership of comprehensive testing strategies for healthcare and CMS-related projects. Your work will ensure that APIs, integrations, and healthcare data standards perform reliably in production environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing campaigns for healthcare technology initiatives focused on CMS process optimization
- Verify REST APIs that implement healthcare data standards, with attention to request/response formats, data contracts, security measures, and exception handling
- Design test scenarios that cover integration points across multiple applications and services
- Create detailed test documentation and communicate findings to engineering teams
- Partner with product and development groups to understand requirements and surface potential issues
Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience testing web service APIs in production environments
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR
- Competency in testing authentication, request formats, data structures, and response handling
- Proven ability to execute integration and end-to-end test plans
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Required to work onsite in Bloomfield, Hartford County; remote work is not available
