We are representing a confidential eCommerce technology client seeking a Data Scientist Manager to lead analytical initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. Our client provides integrated software solutions serving major brands navigating the digital marketplace landscape. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

As Data Scientist Manager, you will lead the analysis of marketplace and brand data, applying a full range of tools including SQL, R, Python, and Power BI to drive insights, automation, and value. This hands-on role emphasizes technical execution while providing strategic input and collaboration across teams of analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional partners. You will champion data-driven decision-making across client engagements and internal initiatives, ensuring analytical excellence and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and adoption of best practices for integrating data science across platform processes
• Mentor a high-performing data science and analytics team focused on developing strategic solutions to advance client business outcomes
• Partner with cross-functional teams to uncover opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and automation
• Drive thought leadership through research initiatives that contribute to business growth and competitive advantage
• Design and implement scalable data science frameworks that enable consistent, data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture leadership to ensure alignment and integration of data and technology strategies
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and measurable impact

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related STEM discipline
• 4+ years of experience in predictive analytics, advanced statistical modeling, and related methodologies
• 4+ years of experience with SQL, R, Python, or other statistical software for developing client-facing analytical solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on experience applying AI and Machine Learning techniques to solve business problems
• 3+ years of experience with Big Data concepts, tools, and architecture (data warehouses, data lakes)
• 3+ years of experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau to communicate key insights to non-technical stakeholders
• 3+ years of experience with the eCommerce ecosystem, including key marketplaces and platform dynamics
