About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential infrastructure client seeking an Associate Director of Scheduling to lead scheduling operations for major civil construction programs. This senior leadership role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust security clearance due to federal contract requirements. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the Public Trust investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Work within integrated planning, cost, and risk environments to optimize resource utilization and meet budget and timeline constraints
  • Ensure compliance with established planning and scheduling methodologies across project teams
  • Develop and maintain project milestone and progress tracking baselines
  • Assess subcontractor adherence to scheduling standards and methodologies
  • Contribute to Work Breakdown Structure development supporting project performance measurement
  • Perform comprehensive schedule data analysis, identifying trends, issues, and critical areas requiring leadership attention
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project schedules
  • Coach and mentor planning team members
  • Lead schedule reporting activities, including forecast updates and contingency management for specific work packages
  • Ensure contractor schedules integrate properly with master schedules and milestones
  • Analyze resource requirements and availability impacts, recommending recovery options as needed
  • Maintain SOX control compliance where applicable

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field (graduate degree preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant civil infrastructure construction experience in a scheduling role supporting major programs (aviation, rail, transportation, bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, or utilities)
  • Proven track record successfully managing scheduling on complex projects or programs
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques
  • Expert-level proficiency with Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to support business development initiatives, including RFP responses
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills
  • U.S. citizenship required per client requirements
