The Opportunity

Woodward is seeking an experienced Client/Server Administrator to join our IT team in Spartanburg, SC. In this role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and optimization of our client/server infrastructure. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in a hands-on technical environment and takes pride in keeping systems reliable, secure, and performing at peak efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, and maintain client and server systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end users experiencing system or connectivity issues
• Monitor system health, performance metrics, and security logs to identify and address potential problems
• Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to operating systems and applications across the infrastructure
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security protocols to protect company data and systems
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure seamless system integration and support
• Respond to infrastructure incidents and implement solutions to minimize downtime

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience administering client/server networks and infrastructure in a business environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server operating systems
• Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with Active Directory, user management, and access controls
• Troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset when supporting end users
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification preferred but not required
