Shipping & Receiving Specialist – 1st Shift

Join Woodward's logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist on the 1st shift at our Rockford - Loves Park Campus (LPC) facility. In this full-time role, you'll be a critical part of our supply chain operations, ensuring materials move efficiently and accurately through our warehouse.

About the Role

This position centers on managing the receipt, processing, and dispatch of materials at Woodward's Rockford - Loves Park Campus. Working the 1st shift, you'll operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment where precision and organization are essential. You'll handle both inbound deliveries and outbound shipments, coordinate with logistics teams, and maintain the detailed records that keep our operations running smoothly.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
• Verify purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation
• Organize and stage materials in designated storage locations
• Prepare outbound shipments and ensure proper labeling and documentation
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
• Conduct routine quality assurance checks on shipped and received items
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and update warehouse management systems
• Comply with all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliability and ability to commit to a consistent 1st shift schedule
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation
• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
• A safety-first mindset and respect for warehouse protocols
