CNC Lathe Machinist (2nd Shift, 4X10)

Woodward is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our Fort Collins - Lincoln Campus facility on the second shift working a 4X10 schedule. This is a full-time position where you'll operate precision CNC lathe equipment and contribute to the production of critical components for aerospace applications.

About This Position

We're looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist ready to take ownership of our precision manufacturing operations. You'll work on advanced CNC lathe systems, transforming raw materials into finished components that meet exacting aerospace standards. Your role is essential to maintaining Woodward's reputation for precision and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This second shift, 4X10 schedule offers flexibility with predictable working hours and weekend availability.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe machinery, inputting specifications and monitoring machining cycles
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to establish machining parameters
• Prepare and set up CNC lathes with appropriate tooling, materials, and fixtures
• Measure finished components with precision instruments to verify adherence to tolerances
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, material usage, and equipment issues
• Work collaboratively with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience operating CNC lathe equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and tolerances
• Solid understanding of machining practices, tool geometry, and material properties
• Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to producing precision components
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical qualification
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to work second shift, 4X10 hours, and maintain consistent attendance
