Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for an experienced Automation Engineer. In this role, you will drive critical partnership operations and network development:
- Expand a nationwide network of certified trade partners across Germany, creating the capacity foundation for organizational growth
- Acquire new high-performing trade partners while developing existing partnerships and ensuring strong regional coverage
- Negotiate pricing, project volumes, capacity commitments, and framework agreements with trade partners to ensure economically attractive and sustainable partnerships
- Design strategic partnership models including incentive structures, partner tiers, and processes that promote mutual growth and commercial success
- Integrate OEMs and wholesale partners strategically into the partner ecosystem, continuously improving conditions for all stakeholders
- Develop the partner network using data-driven approaches, managing capacity needs, regional coverage, utilization rates, and partner segmentation
- Establish relevant KPIs and control mechanisms to transparently track and continuously improve network performance, quality, and profitability
- Lead and develop the Partnership team, setting clear objectives and creating scalable structures
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience in partner/account management, procurement management, or sales management, ideally in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
- Strong understanding of trade industries (particularly heating/plumbing/electrical), ideally from direct experience in trades, wholesale, or close collaboration with trade businesses
- Excellent negotiation skills with proven success in price, volume, capacity, and framework contract negotiations
- Commercial acumen with understanding of economic dynamics behind partner networks; ability to manage along revenue, margin, capacity, and utilization metrics
- Strategic network management capabilities including structured partnership development, early capacity need identification, and concrete action planning
- Data-driven management approach with strong KPI literacy and ability to derive actionable insights
- Leadership experience managing and developing teams, establishing clear goals, responsibilities, and structures
- Ownership mindset with hands-on mentality—strategic thinker who also executes, from partner meetings and negotiations to process improvements
- Scale-up mindset comfortable with rapidly changing structures and environments requiring initiative
- Strong communication skills across diverse stakeholders from trade businesses to wholesale partners, OEMs, and internal leadership
- Excellent German (C2 level) and good English proficiency; comfort with digital tools and CRM systems
