Senior AI Architect & Consultant (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential software consultancy specializing in generative AI implementations. In this senior role, you will take full ownership of AI systems from initial architecture through production deployment.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing production-grade AI systems using LLMs, agentic RAG, and AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, PydanticAI, Mastra, or OpenAI Agents SDK
• Building evaluation pipelines and observability infrastructure with tools like LangSmith or Langfuse
• Architecting solutions that address security, compliance, scalability, and data privacy requirements from initial concept through roadmap delivery
• Leading technical deep-dive sessions and workshops with clients to advance projects to the next phase
• Communicating directly with C-level executives, translating technical concepts into business impact
• Supporting pre-sales activities with technical credibility and solution presentations
• Working with modern MLOps stacks and vector databases in client environments
• Traveling 4–8 days per month to client sites primarily within Germany, occasionally to Austria and Switzerland

Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to active client projects, with the remainder focused on pre-sales conversations, workshops, and strategic support.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience as an architect or senior engineer, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment
• Production implementation experience with agentic AI beyond prototypes—hands-on work with LangChain, LangGraph, and deep agent architectures, or comparable depth in TypeScript frameworks (Mastra) or the Microsoft ecosystem (Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework, Azure AI Foundry)
• Familiarity with vector databases and MLOps practices is a strong plus
• Proven ability to explain AI concepts and architectures clearly to clients in practical, accessible terms
• Strong presentation and storytelling skills—you can sketch solutions in client meetings and advocate for them persuasively
• Confidence engaging with C-level stakeholders, understanding their strategic concerns and translating technical solutions into economic value
• Fluent German (C1 or higher) and conversational English required
