Senior Engineer (m/w/d) — On-Site & Vollzeit

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in München that is transforming how businesses access financing through digital, fast, and intelligent solutions. Our client is expanding their technology team and seeks a Senior Engineer to take on significant responsibility for business-critical systems.

This role requires predominantly on-site work in München and offers the chance to work within a small, experienced team where your contributions will have direct impact on thousands of business users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate reliable, maintainable software solutions
• Own important projects from problem definition through implementation to ongoing operations
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and translate business and product requirements into effective, pragmatic technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with product teams, leadership, and internal and external stakeholders
• Support fellow developers and help evolve technical standards and working practices across the engineering organization

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, clear prioritization, and ability to drive topics independently to completion
• Curiosity and motivation to acquire missing knowledge independently
• Solid foundation in software development with practical experience developing and operating production systems
• Ability and willingness to work predominantly on-site at the München office

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional German language skills
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment
• Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, AWS, Docker, Node.js, React, GraphQL, serverless or event-driven architectures
• Experience working in a small team with broad individual areas of responsibility
