Position Summary

As Associate Director of Global Clinical Program Management at Amgen, you champion the successful execution of multifaceted clinical programs with operational excellence at your foundation. You direct the efforts of accomplished operational teams across geographies, ensuring clinical trials progress efficiently within budget and quality parameters. Your strategic oversight encompasses study planning, risk management, team development, and vendor collaboration to deliver innovative medicines to patients.

Core Duties

• Orchestrate end-to-end operational execution of multiple concurrent clinical programs
• Manage study timelines, financial allocations, quality standards, and strategic priorities
• Anticipate operational obstacles and guide corrective actions to maintain progress
• Develop and direct Study Delivery Leads with clear performance expectations and professional growth opportunities
• Address program-level complications and escalations with effective, timely solutions
• Coordinate with cross-functional colleagues and regional execution teams to harmonize objectives
• Advise on clinical strategy, site identification, enrollment approaches, and diversity considerations
• Administer program budgets, external research partnerships, and performance forecasting

What You Bring

• Advanced degree with clinical execution experience: Doctorate with 3 years, Master's with 7 years, Bachelor's with 9 years, Associate's with 12 years, or High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of direct clinical trial involvement
• Minimum three years leading people or directing initiatives with financial or resource authority
• Preferred: Eight years in life sciences or healthcare, including six years in biopharmaceutical clinical research at biotech, pharmaceutical, or contract research organizations
• Preferred: Leadership experience managing multiple teams spanning different geographic regions
• Preferred: Familiarity with external clinical research partners, specialized labs, and imaging vendors
