What This Role Involves

You'll work at the frontline of incident management, analysing and escalating security events for our clients whilst conducting root-cause analysis and active threat hunting. This role bridges reactive incident response with proactive security strategy — you'll not only respond to threats but also shape how our clients approach their security posture through collaborative workshops and regular strategic discussions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyse security incidents, perform root-cause analysis, escalate through established processes, and conduct threat-hunting activities
  • Lead incident-handling workshops and serve as the primary contact during regular client meetings and check-ins
  • Provide ongoing client consultation and support via email, chat, and phone calls, ensuring continuous confidence in our service
  • Collaborate with our engineering team to evaluate emerging security technologies and trends, keeping both us and our clients ahead of evolving threats
  • Maintain operational quality and stability in partnership with our first-level support team
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including evening and weekend shifts as required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
  • Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft security tools: Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID (Crowdstrike experience is a bonus)
  • Solid understanding of network security challenges and the ability to recognise patterns and develop pragmatic solutions
  • Strong communication skills — the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly to colleagues, clients, and non-technical decision-makers
  • Service-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for workshops, regular collaboration, and continuous improvement alongside clients
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Residency in Germany
  • Desirable: security certifications such as AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, CompTIA CySa+, SANS FOR/SEC, or equivalent
