What This Role Involves
This Solutions Design Analyst position sits at the intersection of clinical research expertise and technology implementation. You'll lead the design and configuration of eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) systems that directly support clinical trial success. Your technical acumen, combined with strong client partnership capabilities, will enable you to translate complex clinical requirements into scalable, efficient software solutions that meet the needs of multinational research organisations.
Your Responsibilities
- Direct the overall Solutions Design process, ensuring clinical protocols are accurately and efficiently translated into software implementations within defined project parameters
- Elicit, analyse, and document client requirements; define technical specifications and design components; represent the Solutions Design team in client meetings with subject matter expertise
- Develop and manage specifications for study-specific eCOA implementations tailored to client needs
- Verify alignment between trial data capture methods, data delivery mechanisms, and database architecture
- Work with Clinical Systems Translation & Licensing teams to confirm correct versions of validated questionnaires are configured
- Drive Solutions Validation and Quality Control efforts, promptly addressing any design-related defects
- Investigate and resolve study complications that emerge beyond the trial startup phase
- Lead or contribute to internal and external design review meetings and project milestones
- Represent Solutions Design in client audit activities, explaining process flows, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to review and assess new study protocols and technical feasibility
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Pharmaceutical Science, Healthcare, Life Science, or Computer Science
- Solid working knowledge of eCOA principles and clinical trial processes
- Proven ability to work effectively in international settings and build strong client relationships across all organisational levels
- Excellent spoken and written communication in English
- Preferred: background as a Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Research Manager, or Project Coordinator/Manager in clinical research settings
- Preferred: hands-on experience with eCOA, ePRO, IRT/RTSM, eConsent, or similar eClinical and healthcare technology platforms
- Preferred: background in Product Management, Product Design, Application Design, or Software Design within the healthcare technology sector
- A genuine enthusiasm for software design and patient-centred clinical research
