Category Management Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

This role supports the Category Management organization by analyzing business processes, enhancing system performance, and delivering data-driven insights that inform sourcing strategy and supplier decisions. You'll collaborate across Category Management, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure systems, workflows, and reporting align with category objectives and procurement goals. You'll translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions that drive efficiency and compliance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Work with category leaders to understand objectives, identify improvement opportunities, and design workflows that boost efficiency and compliance
• Document requirements, create process maps and functional specifications, and support system implementations and enhancements
• Identify automation possibilities that reduce manual effort and strengthen data accuracy across procurement and sourcing applications
• Design dashboards, reports, and KPIs that show category spend, supplier performance, cost savings, and operational metrics
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Maintain data quality and governance standards across supplier records, contracts, categories, and spend information
• Collaborate with IT and system administrators on configuration, testing, system upgrades, and integrations
• Develop training materials, documentation, and standard procedures to support user adoption and system success

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or related field
• Three to seven years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
• Proven experience supporting procurement, sourcing, supply chain, category management, or finance operations
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and business analysis
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and reporting tools
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis methods
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $77,100 to $118,600 USD annually.
