About This Position

Pilot Company operates travel centers across the United States, serving drivers and travelers with essential services and amenities. As a Food Services Leader in our West Columbia location, you'll oversee daily operations within our food service department, managing staff, standards, and guest experience in a high-volume retail and travel center setting. This full-time role reports to the operations management team and focuses on driving customer satisfaction through quality food service and team excellence.

Core Duties

• Supervise and direct food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
• Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with regulations and company policies
• Oversee food preparation, quality control, and consistency across all menu offerings
• Manage inventory, cost control, and food ordering to optimize profitability
• Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve service issues to ensure positive guest experiences
• Implement operational procedures and track key performance metrics
• Communicate with other department leaders to support overall travel center performance

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management or hospitality operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members
• Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a high-volume environment
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication abilities
• Experience with inventory management and cost control
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
