Senior Data Scientist

ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Mountain View, California. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll develop and deploy machine learning solutions that power our industry-leading workflow automation platform.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Scientist at ServiceNow, you'll take ownership of complex analytical challenges that directly impact how enterprises transform their business processes. Working within our Engineering organization, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and scale intelligent systems that help organizations optimize workflows, improve efficiency, and drive digital transformation. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact problems using advanced data science techniques and cutting-edge machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models that enhance ServiceNow's platform capabilities and user experiences
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for algorithmic innovation
• Design and implement statistical models and predictive analytics solutions for enterprise-scale applications
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable business outcomes
• Establish best practices for data quality, model validation, and performance monitoring in production environments
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating technical analyses into clear, strategic guidance

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a related analytical role
• Expert-level proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages used in data science
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and machine learning algorithms
• Proven experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to distill complex technical work for diverse audiences
• Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks is a plus
