Role Overview

As an Arby's Cashier at our Ellensburg location, you'll be the face of our restaurant and the first point of contact for every customer who walks through our doors. This part-time position is ideal if you're seeking flexible work that fits your schedule while building valuable customer service experience. You'll operate our cash register system, process orders and payments accurately, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

Your Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders at the counter or drive-thru window
• Operate the point-of-sale system to accurately ring up orders and process payments via cash, card, or mobile methods
• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen team to ensure accuracy and timely preparation
• Answer customer questions about our menu, ingredients, and current promotions
• Handle cash drawer management, including opening, closing, and reconciling totals
• Maintain a clean, organized counter and checkout area
• Support the team during peak service times and contribute to overall restaurant cleanliness
• Follow food safety and health department guidelines in all interactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or current high school student
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to help customers
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
• Strong communication and basic math skills
• Reliable attendance and willingness to be flexible with scheduling
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Prior cash handling or customer service experience is a plus, but not required
