Eurofins is hiring an Analytical Clinical Biochemistry Group Leader for our Rensselaer, New York laboratory. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead a skilled team in clinical biochemistry analysis and advance our analytical testing services.

Role Overview

As Analytical Clinical Biochemistry Group Leader at Eurofins' Rensselaer facility, you'll direct our analytical clinical biochemistry operations with responsibility for team leadership, scientific standards, and regulatory compliance. This role combines technical depth with management accountability, positioning you to influence how our laboratory delivers accurate, reliable clinical testing results. You'll establish best practices in analytical methods, oversee quality assurance initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement among your team members.

Core Duties

• Supervise and mentor the analytical clinical biochemistry team, supporting professional development and performance excellence
• Direct laboratory operations including method development, validation, and optimization for clinical testing
• Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols aligned with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements
• Review and ensure accuracy of analytical testing procedures and data reporting
• Lead efforts to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
• Manage team scheduling, training programs, and skill development initiatives
• Coordinate with other departments to integrate analytical services into broader laboratory operations

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree or PhD in biochemistry, clinical chemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline
• Substantial professional experience in analytical or clinical biochemistry laboratory work
• Demonstrated success in leading, motivating, and developing laboratory teams
• Comprehensive understanding of clinical laboratory regulations, quality standards, and compliance frameworks
• Solid expertise in analytical method development, validation, and troubleshooting complex assays
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
• Commitment to scientific accuracy, data integrity, and continuous professional growth
