AI Content Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data infrastructure company that is building the technical content engine for a rapidly growing category. This is a rare hybrid role: you'll write code daily to build AI-powered content systems, and you'll use those systems to publish technical content that reaches data engineers and data leaders at scale.

You will report directly to a founder on the Growth team. This is not a traditional content marketing role, and it's not a software engineering role—it's the intersection of both. You'll build multi-step LLM pipelines that turn internal expertise into published content, then use your own technical writing and audience-building as the quality bar for what the system produces.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered content pipelines using multi-step LLM workflows, structured outputs, and evals to produce technical blogs, webinars, product videos, and website copy at volume
• Write and publish technical content yourself to establish the quality standard and grow your own technical audience
• Extract domain expertise from founders, customer engineers, and customers, then systematize how that knowledge becomes published content
• Implement agentic workflows using Claude Code, MCP servers, and agent skills as daily tools
• Build the connective tissue between content generation and distribution: APIs, webhooks, databases, and automation that removes manual bottlenecks
• Evaluate output for technical accuracy, voice consistency, and audience fit—bin anything that reads like generic AI slop and fix the pipeline that produced it
• Operate autonomously in a distributed, async team across 12+ countries with minimal hand-holding

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Demonstrable writing ability for technical audiences—send us something you wrote that people actually read (this is the most important requirement)
• Serious prompt engineering experience: you've built multi-step LLM pipelines with structured outputs and evals, not just chatted with models
• 3+ years in a role that blends technical building and go-to-market execution: technical content, growth engineering, marketing engineering, GTM engineering, DevRel, marketing ops, RevOps, or founder background
• Coding proficiency in Python or TypeScript sufficient to be autonomous—you can work with APIs, webhooks, and databases without waiting for engineering support
• Data fluency: you're writing for Staff Data Engineers and CDOs, so you need credibility discussing pipelines, data quality, and warehouses
• Generalist problem-solving instinct: you find constraints and remove them, and you'd rather build the workflow than repeat the task fifteen more times
• Independence and comfort working in a distributed, async environment
• Fluent English

Preferred:

• You've grown a technical audience of your own (newsletter, blog, LinkedIn, open source, YouTube)
• Content, growth, or DevRel experience in data infrastructure, developer tools, or B2B SaaS
• Shipped agentic workflows to real users: MCP servers, Claude skills, tool-using agents
• Video production skills: shooting and editing your own content
• Industry experience in data quality, data management, or data observability
