About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential research and professional services organization in the insurance sector, seeking a working student to join their Innovation, New Business & Startups team in Leipzig. This role offers 15–20 hours per week and provides excellent exposure to emerging technologies, new business models, and the InsurTech startup ecosystem.

Our client supports insurance industry companies with their research and development initiatives, analyzing trends, developing strategic requirements, and creating solutions. They are known for market analyses, studies, strategy consulting, and professional education formats.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and projects focused on innovation and new business development in the insurance industry
• Research and analyze current trends, technologies, business opportunities, and market developments, preparing relevant insights for projects and initiatives
• Contribute creatively to developing and refining new ideas and formats from initial conception through implementation
• Work on trend radar initiatives: research and evaluate new developments, prepare content, conduct plausibility checks, and create supporting documentation
• Assist with conception, preparation, and execution of workshops, events, and exchange formats; help create presentations and working materials
• Prepare findings, trends, and insights in audience-appropriate formats, making complex topics understandable for various communication channels
• Actively participate in startup and InsurTech networking activities: research new companies and business models, identify interesting players, support network connections, and contribute to pitch and exchange events

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a university with at least two semesters remaining
• Very good German language skills (required for this German-language role)
• Strong interest in innovation, new technologies, trends, and business models
• Excellent research skills with ability to structure and present information clearly
• Proficiency with standard MS Office applications
• Independent, careful work style with curiosity and creativity
• Willingness to contribute your own ideas and perspectives
• Interest in generative AI with some initial experience using AI tools
• Availability for 15–20 hours per week
