About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential retail technology organization operating a mobile shopping platform across nearly 40 countries. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on back-end development for their mobile applications, based in Paris.
In this role, you will design and build the Back For Front (BFF) architecture that powers iOS and Android applications serving millions of users. You'll work within a feature team while contributing your expertise across the broader engineering community to maintain exceptional app performance and user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop the Back For Front (BFF) layer supporting mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms
- Serve as a technical reference within your team, ensuring code quality through code reviews, pair programming, and adherence to development best practices
- Proactively solve complex technical challenges and provide guidance to team members
- Make impactful technical decisions and drive their operational implementation across the organization
- Build intuitive, stable, scalable, and secure applications with continuous deployment
- Participate in mobile development communities and contribute to technical excellence initiatives
- Work with a tech stack including TypeScript, MongoDB, Clean Architecture, microservices, REST APIs, GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Datadog, SonarQube, GitHub, and DevSecOps practices
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in back-end development in a similar role
- Strong proficiency with Git and GitHub
- Solid understanding of software development best practices including clean architecture, design patterns, and testable code
- Experience with TypeScript, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (particularly GCP and Kubernetes)
- Collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for code reviews and pair programming
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher for daily communication with international team members and partners
- Passion for continuous learning and working in human-centered environments that promote talent and decision-making autonomy
