Account Executive

Xplor is hiring an Account Executive to drive merchant sales and grow business relationships. This full-time, remote role based in San Diego, CA offers the opportunity to own the sales cycle and build lasting partnerships with merchants seeking innovative solutions.

What This Role Involves

As an Account Executive at Xplor, you'll lead the complete sales process—from identifying merchant prospects through closing deals and fostering long-term partnerships. You'll engage directly with business owners and decision-makers, understand their unique challenges, and present solutions that drive real value for their operations.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new merchant accounts and qualify opportunities through systematic outreach and relationship development
• Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify merchant pain points and business objectives
• Present tailored solutions that align merchant needs with Xplor's platform capabilities
• Negotiate contract terms and close sales agreements with merchants and key stakeholders
• Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting via CRM systems
• Expand existing merchant accounts by identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities
• Collaborate with onboarding and success teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in B2B sales with track record of closing mid-market deals
• Experience in merchant services, payments, SaaS, or related business-to-business sales environments preferred
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales technology
• Self-directed work style suited to remote environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional sales experience
