Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization in Brazil seeking a Database Operations Manager to lead technical support and project teams focused on database and application infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and oversee technical support teams and infrastructure projects with a focus on databases and applications
• Provide technical and operational leadership for teams supporting mission-critical, high-availability environments
• Monitor and track infrastructure services to ensure optimal performance
• Execute queries using SIEM tools such as Splunk SPL, Microsoft Sentinel KQL, Elastic Search EQL, or similar platforms
• Lead technology projects and conduct requirements analysis
• Oversee systemic projects and activities related to database and application infrastructure
• Manage infrastructure and code versioning through Git, including command line operations, commits, pulls, and pushes
• Read technical documentation and communicate in written English for opening and tracking support tickets with technology vendors
• Organize, monitor, and govern operational activities across the team

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field, or bachelor's degree in another area plus postgraduate qualification in IT
• ITIL Foundation v3 or higher certification, or equivalent documented training
• Technical English proficiency sufficient for reading documentation and written communication with support tickets
• Proven experience in Information Technology
• Experience managing technical support teams or infrastructure projects in large-scale, high-availability organizations
• Knowledge of SQL Server, IBM DB2, WebSphere, IBM MQ, or Java EE
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring
• Project management expertise
• Requirements analysis skills
• Git proficiency
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Service as a repository

Preferred qualifications:

• Official certifications in database or application technologies combined with senior-level experience supporting these technologies
• Extensive hands-on experience using Azure DevOps as the primary repository for technical management activities
