Our talent team is representing a confidential insurance organization seeking an IT Developer to join their Business Intelligence & Automation division. This role offers the chance to build scalable data solutions while working with modern cloud platforms and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Selected candidates will contribute to ELT processes, data warehouse design, and business intelligence reporting while mentoring development team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, reusable, automated and streamlined ELT code using tools such as dbt, SQL, Jinja, and Python
• Analyze and organize raw data from multiple sources to produce requested data elements
• Design table structures and ELT pipelines to build performant, scalable data solutions
• Create reconciliation procedures and data checks to ensure data quality with automated audit and controls
• Provide production support, including on-call rotation and technical assistance to end-users and IT staff
• Lead user requirements gathering and documentation of technical designs
• Conduct proactive data investigations and assist business partners with complex analysis and ad-hoc queries
• Lead application and technical architecture analysis, design, and implementation for BI products
• Collaborate with data management and database specialists to troubleshoot and report issues
• Design new reporting applications and ensure underlying data sources support reporting requests
• Adhere to metadata management and data quality standards through quality management reviews
• Understand configuration dependencies between data warehouse and business intelligence tools
• Build and maintain relationships with business process owners and colleagues
• Identify scope changes that could impact budgets or delivery dates and implement contingency plans
• Mentor development team members in BI solution design and development

What We're Looking For

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience designing and implementing ELT processes (preferred tools: dbt, SQL, Jinja, Python)
• Proven experience distilling business requirements into data warehouse design artifacts such as Facts Qualifier Matrix, source-to-target maps, and star/snowflake schema data models
• Strong team working skills with an analytical nature
• Self-motivated with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to changes
• Ability to maintain workflow and meet deadlines while managing parallel project deliverables with minimal direction
• Ability to create effective visual models for processes, data flow, and user interaction
• Prior reporting application support experience
• Track record of successfully architecting small, medium, and enterprise-scale solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of experience with SQL, data modeling, and dimensional modeling
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms including Azure, Snowflake, and dbt
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, including data quality scorecards, KPI reporting, and data lineage
• Experience supporting data, analytics, or reporting solutions for regulatory, financial, operational, or compliance reporting requirements
• Experience working within Agile teams and delivery methodologies

Work Arrangement:

• United States-based position
• Hybrid or remote flexibility depending on location relative to the client's headquarters
• Occasional travel to Fairfield, OH may be required for special events, training, or key meetings
• Video-on expectations during virtual meetings to maintain team connection and collaboration
