Account Director, Brand Partnerships

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential social media and digital content client in their search for an Account Director, Brand Partnerships. This is a fully remote role based in the United States.

Our client operates a portfolio of social-first brands with tens of millions of followers across music, culture, fashion, and entertainment verticals. They are building their brand partnerships function from the ground up and need a revenue-driven hunter who thrives in ambiguity and startup environments.

This is not an account management role—you will be building a book of business from scratch in a highly competitive market. If you prefer inheriting existing client relationships or require structure and predictability, this opportunity is not the right fit.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue by meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual targets
• Prospect aggressively: create 5+ new business pitches per week and send 100+ outbound messages weekly via email and LinkedIn
• Identify target brands and decision-makers, crafting creative outbound strategies to generate pitch opportunities
• Collaborate internally to respond to RFPs, build pitch decks, rate cards, and media plans that communicate network value and capabilities
• Lead sales calls independently and close deals
• Manage post-sale activities including invoicing, client communications, campaign execution oversight, and performance reporting
• Track prospecting activity, pipeline, and deal flow using spreadsheets or CRM systems
• Work closely with content and product teams, becoming an expert on advertising products and bringing marketplace intelligence back to the organization
• Travel as needed to secure new business

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of direct sales experience in digital and social media
• Proven track record of discovering, prospecting, and closing new business to drive revenue
• Authentic, deep understanding of the social media landscape with a history of selling social advertising
• Competitive hunter mentality comfortable building from scratch and performing under pressure
• Data-driven approach with proficiency in lead sourcing technologies, outreach tools, and CRM reporting
• Highly organized and systems-oriented with strong attention to detail
• High agency: demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems, and navigate early-stage ambiguity
• Creative thinker who connects dots and develops innovative media solutions for brands
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially when presenting to brands
• Passion for music, fashion, gaming, and popular culture
