Medical Assistant PRN – Dermatology Clinic – Franklin

Vumc is now recruiting Medical Assistants for our Dermatology Clinic locations in Franklin. We're seeking healthcare professionals to join our clinical team on a PRN (as-needed) basis, supporting dermatologists and delivering compassionate patient care in our specialized dermatology practice.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant PRN at Vumc's Franklin dermatology clinic, you'll work flexible hours while contributing directly to patient care in a specialized dermatology setting. This part-time position allows you to choose your schedule while maintaining clinical excellence. You'll be part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing comprehensive skin health services across our 2 Franklin locations.

Core Duties

• Prepare and maintain sterile examination rooms and instruments
• Obtain vital signs and conduct patient intake assessments
• Document patient information accurately in medical records
• Assist dermatologists during clinical examinations and procedures
• Apply prescribed topical treatments and wound care
• Educate patients on aftercare and skin health instructions
• Manage patient scheduling, check-in, and front desk inquiries
• Maintain supply inventory and clinic organization standards

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA) or clinical credential
• Active CPR/BLS certification
• Professional communication and patient service skills
• Experience working in clinical or medical environments
• Ability to work across multiple locations as scheduled
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Reliable schedule flexibility for PRN assignments
