Medical Assistant Walk-In Clinic – Franklin

About the Role

This is a hands-on position at the heart of our walk-in clinic operation. You'll serve as a vital member of our care team, working directly with patients and clinical staff to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations. The role combines direct patient care with administrative support, requiring both clinical competency and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties including vital signs, patient assessment, and basic procedures as directed
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and maintain clinic cleanliness
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor clinical procedures
• Document patient information, medical histories, and visit notes in electronic health records
• Schedule patient appointments, check in patients, and manage clinic flow
• Answer patient questions and provide compassionate, professional support
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards at all times

What We're Looking For

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent clinical experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Clinical and technical skills in patient care and assessment
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software
• Ability to thrive in a busy, walk-in clinic environment
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Physical ability to stand, move, and lift throughout your shift
