About This Position

As a School SPED Paraprofessional at Vertexeducation, you'll be an integral part of our special education team, delivering hands-on support to students with diverse learning needs. Working in partnership with special education teachers and school staff, you'll help create an inclusive, supportive learning environment where students can reach their full potential. This full-time role combines direct student support with classroom management assistance, and you'll play a vital part in implementing individualized education plans and accommodations throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group instructional support to students with special needs
• Assist with implementation of student individualized education plans and behavioral support strategies
• Help develop and organize learning materials tailored to student needs
• Monitor and document student progress, engagement, and behavior throughout the day
• Support students with daily living skills, communication, and social interaction
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt instruction and modify assignments for individual learners
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
