Vumc is recruiting an Assistant Nurse Manager to strengthen clinical leadership and operational excellence in our Emergency Department serving Lebanon, TN. Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Emergency Department operations and nursing workflow coordination
• Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluation, and professional development
• Monitor and promote patient safety, quality standards, and clinical best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care improvement initiatives
• Contribute to a positive unit culture and staff engagement
• Support compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and quality metrics
• Assist with incident reporting, documentation, and process improvement

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience in the Emergency Department as a registered nurse
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge of emergency patient care and ED workflows
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity healthcare environment
