The Opportunity

Vumc is seeking a skilled EP Lab Interventional Technologist to deliver high-quality technical support in our electrophysiology department. You'll be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional cardiac care to patients throughout Middle Tennessee. This role offers the chance to develop your expertise in interventional cardiology procedures while working with cutting-edge equipment and compassionate colleagues.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Prepare the electrophysiology laboratory and assist in setting up specialized monitoring equipment before procedures
• Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and safety throughout procedures, maintaining clear communication with the care team
• Operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and comfort measures before and during procedures
• Document procedure details and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment and support equipment sterilization protocols

What We're Looking For

• Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCVIT) or equivalent credential
• Experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or electrophysiology setting
• Strong knowledge of electrophysiology equipment, catheters, and interventional techniques
• Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced clinical environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with physicians, nurses, and other staff
• Commitment to patient safety and maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique
• Flexibility to work days as scheduled, including potential on-call responsibilities
