Role Overview

As Skilled Equipment Maintenance Group Leader at Toyota's Troy facility, you'll supervise a maintenance team responsible for the upkeep, repair, and continuous optimization of critical production equipment. This leadership role directly influences plant reliability, safety, and operational efficiency through hands-on technical management and team development.

Core Duties

• Lead and mentor a maintenance team, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and commitment to safety
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to minimize production downtime
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules, balancing maintenance needs with production demands
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure maintenance aligns with operational priorities
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards, Toyota safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain detailed records of equipment conditions, work orders, and maintenance history for compliance and analysis
• Train team members on equipment operation, troubleshooting procedures, and safety best practices
• Identify and recommend equipment improvements and process enhancements to boost reliability and performance

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience maintaining industrial equipment in manufacturing or similar environments
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience managing a technical maintenance team
• Strong technical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, or mechanical repair
• Proficiency reading schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and root-cause analysis methodology
