About This Position

We are recruiting for an Operations Assistant to join our Machala - Impala Warehouse team. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the smooth running of daily warehouse operations, supporting inventory management, material handling, and logistics coordination. This is a key position for someone eager to develop their career in operations and supply chain management at Trafigura, a leading global commodities and energy trading company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, checking, and organizing incoming shipments and inventory
• Monitor stock levels and help maintain accurate warehouse records
• Support material handling operations and ensure proper storage practices
• Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient warehouse floor operations
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on warehouse equipment and areas
• Help prepare and document shipments for dispatch
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus
• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including standing, lifting, and moving materials safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work responsibly in a team environment
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (preferred)
• Fluency in Spanish and English is beneficial
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a growing, professional operation
