This full-time position is central to our Gas and Power division, ensuring accuracy and compliance across thousands of natural gas trades daily.

About the Role

Settlements specialists are the backbone of commodity trading operations. You'll own the end-to-end reconciliation of natural gas transactions, from trade execution through final financial settlement. Working across North America's dynamic natural gas markets, you'll identify discrepancies, resolve disputes with counterparties, and ensure all trades are accurately recorded and settled on time.

What You'll Do

• Reconcile daily natural gas trades and cash flows with counterparties and internal systems
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies, working with traders, operations, and external counterparties
• Process trade confirmations, amendments, and settlement instructions
• Monitor delivery obligations and physical transaction compliance
• Maintain detailed settlement records and documentation for regulatory and audit purposes
• Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial close
• Support period-end and year-end settlement reconciliations
• Identify process improvements and escalate operational risks

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of settlements, operations, or trading support experience (natural gas or commodities preferred)
• Strong understanding of natural gas markets, pricing, and settlement mechanics
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with trading systems or settlement platforms
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
• Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to accuracy
