Data Scientist II – Analysis, QC

Delivery Hero is seeking a Data Scientist II – Analysis, QC to join its Information Technology team in Dubai, AE on a full-time basis. This is an on-site role where you'll drive data-driven insights and maintain rigorous quality standards across our analytics operations.

What This Role Involves

As a Data Scientist II, you will take ownership of analytical projects that directly impact business decisions and operational efficiency at Delivery Hero. You'll design and execute analytical workflows, develop statistical models, and implement data quality frameworks across multiple platforms. This position balances hands-on technical work with strategic analysis, leveraging data to solve complex problems in our delivery and logistics network.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis and build predictive models to uncover insights in order patterns, customer behaviour, and operational metrics
• Design and maintain data quality checks and validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and integrity across analytical datasets
• Develop statistical tests and quality assurance protocols for new features and processes before production deployment
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business questions into analytical scope and deliverables
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and findings in clear, reproducible code and analysis reports
• Monitor ongoing analytical systems and pipelines, identifying anomalies and recommending improvements

Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical analysis with demonstrated ability to work with large datasets
• Strong grasp of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
• Experience designing or implementing data quality frameworks, automated testing, or validation systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Experience with data visualisation tools and dashboard creation is beneficial
