People Partner (Maternity Cover)

Join Care Fertility Group as a full-time People Partner on a 15-month fixed-term maternity cover contract in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This is a pivotal role for an experienced HR professional to partner with senior leadership across our Northern region, translating our People Strategy into meaningful impact and building high-performing teams.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a commercially savvy and emotionally intelligent People Partner to join us during an important period for the organisation. You'll collaborate closely with senior management across our Northern operations, taking ownership of People initiatives that drive engagement, strengthen leadership, and build a workplace where colleagues thrive. This fixed-term position offers genuine influence—the chance to make a lasting difference to our teams and culture whilst covering maternity leave for a valued member of our People function.

Responsibilities

• Partner strategically with senior leaders to develop and implement People Strategy across the Northern region
• Create and deliver employee engagement programmes that foster connection and commitment
• Strengthen leadership capability through coaching, feedback, and tailored development
• Build and nurture high-performing teams aligned to organisational priorities
• Lead people-centred projects and process improvements that enhance workplace effectiveness
• Support inclusive, supportive working environments where colleagues feel valued and developed
• Work collaboratively with HR partners and business teams to ensure consistent people practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR or People-focused roles, with a strong track record in people strategy delivery
• Commercial mindset combined with genuine emotional intelligence
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders and navigate organisational complexity
• Experience driving engagement initiatives and creating high-performing team cultures
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills
• Sound knowledge of HR practice, employment law, and people-led change
• Practical problem-solving approach with the ability to prioritise effectively
