Entwicklungsingenieur Konstruktion (m/w/d) – UAS/Drohnen (Mechanik oder Elektrik)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace technology organization in Rotenburg seeking a Development Engineer for unmanned aerial systems. In this role, you will:

• Design and develop mechanical structures for unmanned aircraft systems, including frames, housings, payload systems, and ground support equipment
• Integrate electrical components such as propulsion systems, sensors, and avionics hardware, ensuring functional coordination between mechanical and electrical subsystems
• Take ownership of structural and strength analysis for system components, supporting prototype construction, testing, and commissioning phases
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials, and maintain comprehensive system documentation
• Collaborate closely with software, testing, and production teams to support technical validation and ensure compliance with specifications

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Proven experience in mechanical design and construction, ideally in lightweight structures or UAV environments
• Practical experience with rapid prototyping and system integration
• Foundational knowledge of electrical design, wiring, and electrical safety standards
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, or equivalent software
• Very good German and English language skills
