About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology organization in Germany that is seeking a Quality Manager to shape quality processes for network-based counter-drone systems. This is a unique opportunity to build and evolve a quality management system from the ground up in a high-stakes environment where your work directly impacts operational readiness for security agencies and defense forces.

Founded recently, our client offers the rare chance to develop quality processes alongside company growth rather than simply maintaining legacy systems. You'll report directly to executive leadership with decision cycles measured in days, not months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct, and follow up on internal and external audits according to DIN EN ISO 9001, working cross-functionally to implement corrective actions
• Maintain and continuously improve the process landscape to ensure quality-relevant processes remain current, applicable, and effective
• Review quality-relevant documentation throughout proposal development and project execution phases
• Ensure quality of customer-facing documents and deliverables meets contractual and regulatory requirements
• Document quality-related measures and provide regular reporting to executive management
• Collaborate with leadership to advance quality processes and methodologies
• Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and internal departments

What We're Looking For

• Degree in engineering, quality management, environmental management, or comparable qualification
• Several years of quality management experience, ideally in manufacturing environments
• Working knowledge of AQAP, ISO 9001, and ISO 9100 standards as operational frameworks, not theoretical concepts
• Demonstrated experience in audit management with verifiable track record
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style with ability to maintain overview in complex situations
• Clear communication skills with assertiveness on quality-critical matters
• Fluent German (negotiation level) and strong English (written and spoken)
