About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI productivity organization that is building the next generation of proactive AI tools. Our client is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join their team in Berlin and help shape the future of their flagship AI assistant product.

This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering and product, where you'll drive delivery of complex, multi-quarter initiatives that are redefining how people work with AI. You'll be working with world-class engineering teams to ship software that meaningfully anticipates and amplifies human productivity at scale.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering delivery end-to-end for multi-quarter initiatives, from planning through launch, working closely with engineering teams to track milestones, surface dependencies, and manage technical risks
• Translate engineering requirements into executable plans by partnering with engineering leads to break down technical work into phased delivery plans with clear milestones, identifying critical paths and spotting dependencies before they become blockers
• Engage directly with engineers on architecture decisions, trade-offs, and system design to help the team make informed decisions about scope, quality, and release readiness
• Track and improve engineering health by monitoring delivery metrics, flagging risks early, and running post-launch retrospectives to capture learnings and establish signals that indicate system performance
• Provide clarity that enables teams to make confident, autonomous decisions while maintaining alignment across multiple engineering workstreams

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-scaling tech environment, either coming from a technical background (Software Engineering, QA, Data Engineering, or similar) and stepping into program management, or as a Program Manager wanting to go deeper on the engineering side
• Technical depth sufficient to earn engineering trust—you understand how software systems are built, whether from hands-on coding experience, data infrastructure work, or time embedded with engineering teams
• Strong program management fundamentals or genuine drive to build them—you understand planning cycles, dependency tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communication, or you're coachable and eager to develop this skillset
• Proactive and organized approach—you gather context, spot gaps, and take action without waiting to be told what needs doing, while holding multiple workstreams in focus
• Ability to build real credibility with engineers through shared technical background or genuine curiosity about how things work, making their path to delivery clearer rather than managing from above
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to move with purpose—shifting priorities don't derail you, and you know when to push forward versus when to slow down for proper alignment

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is based in Berlin, Germany. Our client operates with a remote-first, hybrid model that supports genuine collaboration. Relocation support is available, including visa assistance, destination services, and a relocation bonus to cover temporary housing and settling-in costs.
