Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential online marketplace client seeking an Expert Model Trains specialist to curate high-quality auctions that engage collectors and sellers. In this remote role, you will:
- Evaluate and arrange model train lots submitted by users, ensuring each auction features attractive and relevant listings
- Create compelling weekly lot selections using your expertise and professional network
- Review titles, descriptions, and images to assess quality and provide accurate estimated values
- Safeguard transparent and fair transactions through consistent expert evaluation
- Communicate rejections professionally and diplomatically, maintaining strong seller relationships
- Collaborate with sales teams to attract new sellers and diversify the range and quality of lots
- Partner with marketing to increase bidder engagement and visibility for your auctions
What We're Looking For
Our talent team is seeking a candidate with:
- Expert knowledge in model trains, including brands, rarity, condition, and valuation
- Strong commercial acumen and documented commercial experience in the collectibles market
- An eye for trade and value within the collector community
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to act diplomatically in user disputes
- A network of potential sellers and experts within the model trains field
- Good computer skills and confidence working with digital tools
- Good command of English, written and spoken
This is a 100% remote position available to candidates based in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, or the United Kingdom.
