Senior Supply Chain Manager (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential mobility company experiencing rapid European expansion. They're seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement transformation during a critical ERP implementation phase. This is a Frankfurt-based role for someone who wants to build, not just maintain—establishing processes, leading a team, and designing a parts supply chain from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and coach the procurement team, fostering autonomous working practices and professional growth
• Serve as the primary procurement stakeholder in an ongoing SAP implementation—from requirements gathering and Purchase-to-Pay process design through testing, data migration, and go-live
• Build and optimize an internal spare parts supply chain to service multiple locations, including assortment planning, supplier selection, inventory management, minimum stock levels, and distribution logistics
• Define and standardize procurement processes, approval workflows, and policies within the new ERP system
• Manage supplier selection, evaluation, performance improvement, contracts, and commercial terms
• Negotiate strategically important categories and deliver measurable cost savings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Fleet, Operations, Legal, and IT teams on procurement initiatives
• Drive AI and automation adoption in procurement (workflow automation, AI-assisted analytics) to eliminate routine tasks and improve efficiency
• Establish procurement KPIs and implement data-driven management (savings realization, supplier reliability, process cycle times)

What We're Looking For

• Several years of strategic or operational procurement experience with demonstrated team leadership capability
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/Ariba modules) OR proven track record in ERP system implementations—ideally both
• Deep understanding of end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay processes with ability to standardize and digitalize them
• Experience building or operating supply chains for spare parts or materials (assortment design, inventory control, stock management, distribution) strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation skills, supplier relationship management capabilities, and commercial cost awareness
• Structured, analytical working style with confidence handling data and KPIs
• Hands-on mentality with enthusiasm for building in a high-growth environment rather than just administering existing systems
• High affinity for AI and automation tools, with motivation to modernize procurement through technology

Pay
