Senior Go Backend Developer (Supply Integrations Team) (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential adtech organization based in Hamburg that processes over 2 million daily interactions across a global publisher network. We're seeking a Senior Go Backend Developer to join their Supply Integrations team, which builds and operates the reward delivery infrastructure connecting advertisers and publishers at massive scale.

This is a hands-on backend engineering role where you'll build production systems handling hundreds of millions of monthly active users, designing event-driven architectures that process billions of API events daily, and partnering directly with data science teams to integrate machine learning algorithms into core application logic.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Go microservices that process 2+ million daily publisher interactions with 99%+ uptime guarantees
• Develop real-time reward notification systems with configurable parameters, cryptographic signatures, and guaranteed delivery across diverse partner integrations
• Build asynchronous event pipelines using Kafka, SQS/SNS, and Kinesis to collect and aggregate billions of daily API events into data lakes for sub-second querying
• Optimize queries across DynamoDB, MySQL, Druid, and Athena handling hundreds of terabytes of data to reduce API response times
• Integrate payment system adapters handling OAuth2 flows, mTLS, HMAC signatures, and intelligent retry logic for enterprise partners
• Collaborate with data science teams to translate complex machine learning algorithms into production-ready application code for real-time optimization
• Design and document well-structured APIs for external enterprise partners and internal self-serve dashboards
• Participate in code reviews and technical knowledge sharing across an international engineering team

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years writing Go in production distributed environments
• Hands-on experience designing high-throughput asynchronous microservice communication using event buses (Kafka, SQS/SNS, Kinesis)
• Deep understanding of database internals and optimization across relational and NoSQL systems (DynamoDB, MySQL, Druid, Athena preferred)
• Strong knowledge of low-level web standards including HTTP protocol, encoding, and regular expressions
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical topics and applied mathematics for data science integration
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, for international collaboration
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), Docker containerization, or serverless architectures is a strong plus
• Comfortable working with TypeScript/React frontends in a microservice architecture

Location & Work Arrangement
