Customer Success Consultant – Retail Media

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential eCommerce technology organization seeking a Customer Success Consultant to join their Retail Media division in Munich. Our client operates at the intersection of marketplace technology and digital advertising, helping major retailers and B2C organizations build and scale advertising revenue streams.

This role sits within a high-growth product line that enables operators to launch profitable retail media programs. You'll work directly with key accounts across all stages of their advertising journey—from initial strategy through ongoing performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead clients from strategy through implementation: define retail media vision and roadmap, design organizational structures, co-build commercial action plans with appropriate KPIs, and drive execution from initial workshops through go-live
• Deliver strategic recommendations at business reviews, presenting to client teams and C-level stakeholders with market insights and case studies to inspire performance and long-term growth
• Design and implement KPI frameworks to monitor advertising network performance and identify continuous growth opportunities
• Support day-to-day optimization of platform usage including placements and campaign configuration to maximize advertising revenues and platform adoption
• Lead tailored workshops and training sessions ensuring optimal onboarding and sustained platform mastery
• Contribute to continuous improvement and industrialization of Customer Success processes and tooling as the client base scales
• Collaborate with BI teams to analyze client activity and monitor advertising network performance
• Leverage AI tools to enhance value delivery—from automating reporting and insights generation to accelerating strategic recommendations
• Act internally as the voice of publishers, providing Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams with actionable insights
• Stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics in retail media, translating intelligence into strategic recommendations
• Contribute your vision in meetings with adtech partners to strengthen positioning in the adtech value chain

What We're Looking For

• Master's Degree in Business or Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in retail media, eCommerce industry, or consulting with strong exposure to digital advertising and/or marketplace ecosystems
• Solid knowledge of eCommerce, marketplace platforms, and online advertising with strong understanding of adtech value chains
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to present to C-level stakeholders
• Strong client-facing and project management capabilities
• Highly business-driven with strong analytical skills, thriving in dynamic environments
• Fluency in English is required; German and/or French is a strong asset given key markets
• Self-motivated and energetic with experience managing multiple internal stakeholders to deliver commercial goals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel internationally
