Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading enterprise software organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise. Our client provides process orchestration platforms trusted by hundreds of global enterprises, including major financial institutions. This is a fully remote position offering the chance to work on sophisticated cloud infrastructure challenges at significant scale.

You will design and maintain Kubernetes Operators that power a multi-tenant SaaS platform, managing infrastructure across AWS and GCP for customers worldwide. This role combines systems programming, cloud-native development, and operational excellence in a high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators using Go and controller-runtime frameworks to manage complex SaaS infrastructure
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and field teams to deliver features supporting multi-region and multi-cloud deployments
• Proactively improve codebases for security, stability, and reliability, contributing to world-class SLA objectives
• Champion engineering best practices and foster a culture that values both innovation and pragmatic execution
• Participate in on-call rotation and third-level escalation support to maintain platform reliability
• Work on infrastructure automation challenges including multi-cloud provider setups and complex orchestration patterns

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Professional experience with Go or similar languages used in cloud-native development
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes core concepts and practical deployment experience
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of knowledge sharing and contributing to positive team culture
• Pragmatic, autonomous approach to problem-solving and software development
• "You build it, you run it" mentality with passion for automation and quality

Preferred:

• Experience writing Kubernetes Operators with Controller-Runtime and Kubebuilder
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Crossplane
• Experience with multi-region or multi-cloud architectures
