Associate Medical Editor – US Students (MD/DO)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential medical education technology organization seeking an Associate Medical Editor to join their content development team. This role is based in Berlin and offers the opportunity to work with an established platform used by medical students worldwide.

We're looking for a physician with an MD or DO degree to help create and refine educational content for the US medical student market. You'll collaborate with experienced medical professionals to develop high-quality learning materials while gaining hands-on experience with emerging AI-assisted editorial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical professionals to plan, develop, write, and review educational content focused on US medical students
• Contribute ideas for improving and evolving existing medical education materials
• Integrate user feedback and evidence-based guidelines to keep content current and relevant
• Master the organization's content management system to create integrated multimedia learning resources
• Apply low-code automation and AI-assisted tools with appropriate human oversight to support editorial quality
• Develop practical AI skills and help shape new products for the student market

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO degree, preferably with USMLE or COMLEX experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking
• Genuine interest in AI tools and willingness to learn new technologies
• Proficiency in finding, selecting, and interpreting clinical literature and medical society guidelines
• Didactic mindset with ability to explain complex medical concepts clearly
• Knowledge of or curiosity about current trends in US medical education
• Full-time or near-full-time availability (minimum 30 hours/week)
• Currently located in Germany or willing to relocate (relocation support available)
• Experience creating educational content (preferred)
• Familiarity with LLM tools or AI-supported workflows (preferred)
