About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential automation and logistics client seeking a Maintenance Technician for their advanced fulfilment facility in Erith. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automated systems in a fast-paced operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance on production equipment in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolve issues and action repairs where possible
- Update engineering records including all work carried out and support identification of root causes of failures
- Confirm spares and consumables requirements as part of maintenance activities
- Ensure the Computerised Maintenance Management System is updated with accurate data to meet Engineering KPIs
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyse failures and find solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance
- Work comfortably at height as required by operational needs
This position follows a days-based shift pattern to support operational requirements.
What We're Looking For
- A formal engineering-related qualification (advantageous)
- Basic technical understanding relating to automation hardware and software (beneficial)
- Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise effectively
- Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and conveyors (advantageous)
- Comfort working at height in an operational environment
