Product Manager Autonomous Trucking (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential autonomous systems company based in Gilching, Bayern, Germany. Our client is seeking a Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of their ground autonomy platform—a solution that converts heavy-duty and tactical vehicles into autonomous assets.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of customer value, technical feasibility, and commercial viability. You'll work in close partnership with engineering teams, balancing product ambition against technical reality while maintaining a roadmap the entire organization can execute.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap from discovery through certification, commercial launch, and long-term optimization
• Work directly with customers, end-users, and sales teams to analyze operational demands and translate them into product features and services
• Partner with software, hardware, safety, and systems engineering teams on product refinement, planning, and prioritization
• Consolidate customer, user, and field operational insights to set product priorities and continuously convert requirements into shipped capabilities
• Manage strategic relationships across vehicle OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and service providers
• Collaborate with product marketing to design and execute go-to-market plans that advance market leadership

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of hands-on experience in autonomous trucking, robotics, physical AI, defence technology, or closely related technical fields
• Strong commercial instincts paired with solid technical foundation, enabling seamless liaison between engineering teams and external stakeholders
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach with proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments
• Fluency in English for effective engagement with global teams and international customers
• Track record of taking complex products from concept to market launch; background in product management, service design, or solution architecture within defence, automotive, or transportation sectors is a plus
